Strava Integration
Transparency about what EasyRUN syncs, what permissions it requests, and how you can disconnect or delete your data.
What EasyRUN syncs
When you authorize Strava, EasyRUN imports running activities to help you log trainings, suggest linking them to plans, suggest race results, and avoid double entry.
- Running and compatible foot activities.
- Activity date and time.
- Distance, duration, moving time, pace and elevation.
- Activity name and link to Strava when available.
- Privacy, update or deletion status received from Strava.
What permissions it requests
EasyRUN requests read access to activities to import data authorized by the user. We do not request permission to create, edit or delete activities in your Strava account. We do not store GPS routes, heart rate or other physiological metrics.
7-day retention
In accordance with the Strava API policy, imported activities are kept in EasyRUN for a maximum of 7 days. Within that window you can turn them into your own records: share them with your coach, log them as a training in your log, or submit a race result. Anything you do not confirm is deleted automatically. What you confirm is your own declaration (EasyRUN account data) and is kept like any other record you enter manually.
Plans
When an activity matches a day in your plan, EasyRUN suggests it and notifies you. Only you see the Strava activity. If you share it, your declaration is created (distance, time and elevation confirmed by you) and that is what your coach sees: your record, never Strava data.
Races
If an activity matches a race you are registered for, EasyRUN can suggest submitting the result. You confirm before it is saved as an official result.
Training log
You can log any imported activity as a training in your personal log, with one tap. The record is yours, always private, and is kept even after the Strava activity expires at 7 days.
Community
Per Strava policy, imported activities are never published in the community feed or shared with other athletes. Strava data is seen only by the athlete who imported it.
How to disconnect Strava
- Sign in to EasyRUN with your account.
- Go to Profile.
- In the Strava section, choose disconnect or pause sync.
- You can also revoke access from Strava, in the connected-apps section.
What happens to your data when you disconnect
When you disconnect from EasyRUN or revoke from Strava, EasyRUN automatically deletes all your imported activities, their associated data and the access tokens, and confirms this to you (on-screen message when disconnecting from EasyRUN; notification if you revoke from Strava). Only the records you confirmed as your own (training log, shared runs, race results) are kept, which are EasyRUN account data and can be deleted on request by writing to info@easyrun.life. If you delete an activity on Strava, that deletion is also automatically reflected in EasyRUN.
Privacy
Data imported from Strava is private to the athlete who imported it: it is used only for their history, plans and personal bests. EasyRUN never shows one athlete's Strava data to other users, does not publish it in the community feed, and does not aggregate it in rankings between athletes.
